Xolotol is a character from an earlier version of the original Tomb Raider's storyline.
Biography[]
Xolotol is one of the Guardian of Mu who guards the shrine in El Dorado, holding second piece of the Scion of Mu.[1]
On June 16th 1952, Colonel Arther Hamilton Graves attempted to retrieve the artifact with the Chaos Raiders. Xolotol attacked them from the shadows and picked them off one by one. Hamilton managed to escape by blowing up a tunnel behind himself.[2]
Years later, Lara Cruz Finds the shrine and attempts to take the scion piece. Xolotol appears again and attacks Lara, but is defeated and killed by her.[1]
Trivia[]
- His name seems to derive from the Aztecs, which is somewhat odd considering that his appearance appears to resemble that of Egyptian god Anubis.
- Xolotol, like Sebek are both the Guardians of Mu.
