Valley of the Kings is the fifth level of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. In it, Lara pursues her untrustworthy guide, Ahmed, through the Valley of the Kings by jeep.

Development

The earliest known screenshots of the Valley of the Kings level shows that the red robed assassins were to appear before being replaced by the blue robed ones. The sky graphics are different and the ways into other tombs lack hieroglyphic textures. Lara is also wielding the shotgun as it appeared in Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft.

Later in development, the sky graphics were changed to something quite different. The bar at the top right is also different and usually resembles how much air Lara has left while she is underwater. The sky graphics would later be changed yet again to how it appears in the final version.
