Tomb Raider Collectible Card Game is a licensed production by Precedence Entertainment.
As of the GAMA 2001 Trade Show, Tomb Raider Collectible Card Game has officially sold out. Combined with the expiring license Precedence Entertainment decided to discontinue the support for the collectible card game[2].
It was first released in August 1999. The Premier set contained 210 cards. Two expansions were released for the game: Slippery When Wet in December 1999 (209 cards) and Big Guns in April 2000 (159 cards). A third expansion called Uncovered was planned for summer of 2000 but never materialized[3].
Gameplay[]
CCG sees players take on the role of an adventurer as they hunt for treasure in a fully customizable "level" made up of location cards. Players construct their own personal deck of cards that help them traverse the level and move their playing piece deeper and deeper inside until the treasure room is discovered.
In terms of the game itself, Tomb Raider CCG incorporates gameplay elements more suited to a board game (cards placed as room tiles, dice, and player pawns) than a typical collectible card game[1].
