Syria is a country in Western Asia, and one of two major Locations for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Syria in the game is a predominantly desert environment. In contrast to Siberia's arctic/jungle setting. In the game you play in Northwestern Syria region, which is not a desert in real life but in the game it is. It serves as the prologue of the game and is preceded by a scene in London that sets the plot for the events in Syria and the rest of the game. Once the quest if finished, the game goes back to Siberia (where the tutorial took place) and it will no longer be possible to go back to Syria.
