Swan Dive[]
The swan dive is a frequently occurring move in the Tomb Raider franchise. It has appeared in every main Tomb Raider games of the original and Legend series. It also appeared in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris.
Original series[]
Press up, jump and walk at the same time to perform the swan dive.
Lara dies in a shorter height than usual while performing the move.
From Tomb Raider II to Tomb Raider Chronicles, press roll during the movement to perfom somersaults.
In Angel of Darkness the controls are slightly altered : press up, jump and look.
Legend series[]
Press up, jump and roll to perform the swan dive.
Unlike the original games, Lara can't draw her weapons and shoot while performing the move.
Survivor series[]
The move is totally absent in Tomb Raider (2013). Lara performs a standard dive while she's above water in Rise of the Tomb Raider, but it isn't the same movement as the swan dive.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider marks for the first time since Tomb Raider Underworld the return of the swan dive. Similar to Rise of the Tomb Raider, while above a water area, press jump and roll or shoot to perform the move.
