Praslin Island, Seychelles is where general Charles Gordon ordered the Amulet of Mareish to be hidden, as he believed Seychelles to be remnants of the Garden of Eden.
Lara Croft entered Seychelles via a private plane. She had to land the plane herself, as the pilot had tried to kill her and Malcolm Oliver on their way there. They stayed at the Beau Vallon Beach Resort for a night and went to Praslin Island the next day. There Lara tricked the Mahdists and Silent Ones to leave with a fake amulet. Lara and Oliver found the real Amulet of Mareish in Church of the Chevalier. They both fell under the influence of the amulet but after Oliver was killed by the amulet's guardians, Lara used the magic words given to her to destroy the amulet.
