Richard Croft, Earl of Abbington, was a British aristocrat, archaeologist, and the late father of Lara Croft.
History[]
Richard joined the Illuminati on the purpose to know about them. He eventually rose through the ranks and became a right-hand of the leader.
During his years with the secret society, he became friends with Wilson, who knew of his position there. It was at some point that he learned of an ancient artifact known as the Triangle of Light, which grants its users the powers of time control, and managed to discover a key to finding it: The Clock.
However, he soon became disillusioned with the Illuminati when he suddenly unearthed the society's sinister plan to reforge the Triangle for dark purposes. Knowing that this would endanger humanity, he left the order on unknown reasons and hid the Clock in his estate. In 1985, he was killed by Manfred Powell. His exact date of death is unknown, but he was proclaimed missing in the field on May 15th.
