Pieter Van Eckhardt is a character from Tomb Raider: The Series comics, retelling the story of Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.
Biography[]
Five centuries ago Pieter Van Eckhardt found a Nephilim. Eckhardt then used its blood to make himself immortal. Before he could achieve his goals the Nephilim was killed by Lux Veritatis, and Eckhardt himself was imprisoned beneath the earth. The partial process had side effects though, he needed human blood to dilute the Nephilim blood to look human.
After he managed to get free, he hunted down the Lux Veritatis members and killed them.
In 2003, Pieter Van Eckhardt seeks the Obscura Paintings to awaken the Sleeper and become immortal without the side-effects he has now. Once Eckhardt has the paintings he goes to Cappadocia and awakens the Sleeper, it however attacks Eckhardt and eats him.[1]
