Mayu is a character from Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Biography[]
Mayu is the caretaker for Awil and looks after her while she is trying to read the murals on the pillar. Lara offered Awil to help in reading the murals, and Mayu though it was a good idea. Once Lara left, Awil's father came and took Awil to be sacrificed. Mayu knew the man for a long time, and knew that he would go through with it by his blank look. When Lara came back, Mayu asked her to save Awil. Lara did so and Awil came running back, and Lara soon after. Lara parted some wisdom on Awil, and when Awil wanted to tell her father about it. Mayu noticed Lara's hesitation and realized she was forced to kill Awil's father, and lied to Awil that her father wouldn't return for a long time, and she should continue her studies. Mayu gave Lara her mother's bow, who was eagle archer, as a thank you for her help.
