Lara's Land Rover Challenge is a downloadable reward game Lucozade had on their webpage when they had been temporarily renamed as Larazade during the release of the first Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movie. The game was released around April 2001.
Plot[]
Lara Croft has recovered an Ankh. But Dr. X wants to steal it. Lara must escape Dr. X and deliver the Ankh to South Pole where scientist are waiting to examine it.[2]
Gameplay[]
The gameplay of the Lara's Land Rover Challenge is often compared to Atari's Moon Patrol[3]. To play the game people had to complete a short puzzle of what Lara would bring on her desert trip[4].
The game consists of 4 stages. The game is an auto scroller, where the jeep drives automatically. The distance the jeep can drive is determined by an energy bar, which can be replenished by picking up Lucozade bottles. The player can only control the boost by holding down space for various lengths to make precise jumps.<ref name="LLRC">
