Grenades are a recurring weapon type in the Tomb Raider series.

Grenades were considered in the first Tomb Raider as a replacement for Dynamite, but were cut from the finished game entirely.
Legend Timeline[]
Tomb Raider: Legend[]
Lara use grenades. They can be used to kill groups of enemies, or vehicles. They can be lifted from fallen enemies, and Lara can carry up to four at a time.
They are modeled after the Mk 2 "Pineapple" Grenade.
Tomb Raider Underworld[]
Lara uses "Sticky" Grenades, which are coated with a powerful adhesive that is released after the grenade is thrown. It will stick to whatever surface it lands on.

Rise of the Tomb Raider[]
Lara can craft explosives on the fly by using gathered resources.
- Shrapnel grenade: Crafted from magnesite ore and cans. Kills all enemies in the blast radius, can also destroy metal barriers.
- Smoke Grenades: Crafted from jars and cloth. Causes a large cloud that impedes enemies vision and stuns them, making them easier to kill.
