In an unused cinematic Lara is shown a projection of a moai hinting a Easter Island location. The cinematic, nor the location however never made into final game.
Original Timeline[]
The moai heads in Antarctica would also hint that the Polynesians who settled there were originally from Easter Island.
Legend Timeline[]
Lara Croft visits the area in search of a way to close the doors to parallel universes.
Comic Timeline[]
Lara visits the Easter Island, and sketches the moai statues, when suddenly she is attacked by a nano-tech facsimile of one. Lara draws her guns and shoots the attacker, unaware that this was just a test by an unknown villain.[1]
