The Crocodile God is a creature from the past and an enemy that appears in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. When Lara Croft arrives at the citadel, the creature suddenly looms up from under the ground.
Later, the creature is killed when Sergeant Azizas sacrifices himself by crashing a truck against it, allowing Lara to venture onwards to rescue her friend, Jean-Yves.

Creature Identification[]
It is unknown what the creature is exactly supposed to be. Azizas mentions it being a creature from Egypt's ancient past. It seems to resemble a frilled lizard or a crocodile. The name of the cutscene where Azizas kills it is called "Crocodile God" in the game's files. Also, this creature is referred to as the "gold god" in the Official Tomb Raider Files book and as an "evil god" in a Gamesmaster article. It is possible that the creature is intended to represent Egyptian god Sobek, who has the head of a crocodile but it may more likely be a god that Core Design invented to form a part of Set's army.
