Chen Lo is a character from the second Tomb Raider movie, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
Biography[]
He and his brother Xien Lo are the leaders of the Shay Ling, a cutthroat syndicate of Hong Kong criminals, situated in China.
Chen personally raided the Luna Temple, he came upon two men and Lara Croft in there. The two men were killed, and Lara was wounded, so she dropped the Mati. Chen grabbed the orb, and shot the oxygen tanks of the previous team, before leaving the temple.
As the Shay Ling was supposed to deliver the Mati orb to Jonathan Reiss, Chen realized its true worth and did not do so. He put a cellphone into the box that was delivered to Reiss' men. When Reiss received the box, he contacted Chen Lo and threatened to release a mysterious disease onto Chen's children, unless Chen gives the orb to him. Chen said that he would give the orb to Lara, if Reiss harmed his children.
Chen discussed selling the orb with Lara and he even tried to sell her some stolen terracotta warriors. Lara fought him among the statues and eventually won - in four minutes as she promised to Terry Sheridan. Lara first offered to spare Chen's life if he tells her where the orb is. Chen told her that it is in Flower Pagoda, Shanghai. Lara left, taking an amulet from Chen - an amulet, which was found in the Luna Temple and could help Bryce and Hillary in examining pictures taken by Lara from the orb.
When Lara turned her back on Chen while leaving, he tried to shoot her, but missed. Lara then threw a knife at him, resulting in his death.
