This blog is mainly to promote the existence of the Discussions page on this site. It can be easily accessed from the "Discuss" tab on top of the page.
Article comments have turned from easy place to ask questions about the article and how to improve it, into personal opinions about the character and how they should be portrayed, which wasn't the initial purpose for them. So I urge people who want a lengthy discussion about characters, visit the Discuss. It seems rather empty right now, but once more people know about it, it should liven up.
So Crystal Dynamics has been confirmed to be working on an Avengers game, so it's likely that Tomb Raider will be on the back burner for a while. What do you think the extra development time will bring the series? What might they learn from making Avengers, remember this is the first New IP Crystal has worked on in over a decade.
Hi, I have recently started a wiki called the Tomb Raider Walkthroughs Wiki . This wiki is about walkthroughs for the Tomb Raider games and I made the wiki because I know how annoying it is to be stuck in a part in one of the games. The wiki could help solve the problem and help you get through it. And I know you're thinking, "Well, isn't there already sites about walkthroughs for Tomb Raider?" and you're correct, there are. But with a wiki, you are able to combine knowledge with others, unlike one sole writer on another site. By having different people, you get new tips that could be helpful to others, and you'll keep getting more to help different people with their play style. People should join my wiki to help expand some walkthroughs. …
Hi fellow Tomb Raiders, I need your help.
I completed the game "Rise of the Tomb Raider" (on PC) two days ago with 100% on everything ... but I never managed to use the double/triple shot.
I found this instruction: "Aim at a target, zoom in (...) and charge your shot. A red diamond will then pop up over the target, indicating that the target is locked." (source: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/805493-rise-of-the-tomb-raider/72827773)
I have never seen any red diamond over any enemy. Do you have any advice? What am I doing wrong? --Weas-El (talk) 20:29, February 5, 2016 (UTC)
Dark Horse Comics has annoucned a new comic book series staring Lara Croft, entitled Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen.

Today I added two new pictures to the Tomb Raider wiki. But during the time I was having allot of trouble trying to understand why the pictures kept coming up blurry when I uploaded them.
Anyway, turns out the picture returns to it's normal resolution once you finish editing the page, too bad there's now like, twelve copies of the same picture in the wiki photo gallery.
Anyway, I'm sure everything will look great once it's finished!? ;))
Hello, Lara Croft/Tomb Raider fan's!!
Hope I can be of some help to this wiki and add some new stuff. In turn, I hope you like the new stuff that I add.
Just finished creating the new weapons main page for Lara Croft and the Guardian Of Light. Hopefully the weapons will have links to their own pages soon.
P.S, you can find the link to the weapons main page in the Lara Croft and the Guardian Of Light home page. :)
In the comics it's revealed that Lara's Dad was aware of the Solarii, and Mathias' intent to realease the Sun Queen. In Game collecting all GPS caches hidden in game will unlock the Hidden Message secret, Mission failed, where a man Narrates of failing his mission to kill Mathias. So I'm wondering, does anyone else think it's possible Lara's father went to Yamatai, and found another way off.
Microsoft unveiled that the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider will be an Xbox exclusive at this year's Gamescom. Crystal Dynamics studio head Darrell Gallagher took the stage to confirm that the follow up to last year's critically acclaimed reboot of the action/adventure series will be "Exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360". It is still unclear whether this exclusivity is 'timed' or for the duration of the game's life span.
“Our friends at Microsoft have always seen huge potential in Tomb Raider and have believed in our vision since our first unveil with them on their stage at E3 2011. We know they will get behind this game more than any support we have had from them in the past – we believe this will be a step to really forging the Tomb Raider …
Jacob Alexander Croft is illegitimate son of Lara Croft, who searches for artifacts much like Lara.
Jacob was born as the illegitimate son of Lara Croft, a famous archaeologist who travels the world in search of artifacts. He was raised into archeology by Lara when he was in his early teens.
Jacob's primary handguns consist of two Desert Eagles, with hollow point rounds embossed with the name "Croft"

Acknowledging the tenth anniversary year of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness (2003), composer for that installment; Peter Connelly, has released an unseen Full Motion Video (FMV) sequence.
In the FMV sequence, Lara remembers her entombment at the Great Pyramid of Khufu after imprisoning the god Set. Lara falls into the darkness as her former mentor Professor Werner Von Croy is unable to pull her up to safety. Lara also recalls her rescue by Putai, a North African shaman who gives her guidance and a Scarab amulet that will assist her.
Somewhere on a deserted beach, two figures lie still in the sand. One is obviously the world-famous Lara Croft. The second, is also a female, but she has long, golden, flowing hair. Her face is unrecogniseable as it is covered with sand.
Suddenly, Lara bursts to life. She splutters water all over the sand, turning it a dark shade of brown. Lara sits up and examines her surroundings. She sits on a small beach, surrounded by rocks. There is a mountain to her left and straight ahead is what looks like a forest. Sea cuts off the beaches other exits.
As soon as she sees the other woman, Lara quickly crawls across to her. Lara wipes the sand from the blonde’s face but she doesn’t recognise her. Lara quickly checks the blonde’s pulse to realise th…
The 2013 Game Developers Conference in coming to a close, but before it does, Wikia visited a fascinating talk by Johnathan Hamel, Senior Systems Designer at Crystal Dynamics on Tomb Raider. Check out the talk highlights below to see how Hamel and the team shaped the world of Tomb Raider to build a new and compelling Lara Croft.
From the beginning, Hamel explains, the goal for the latest Tomb Raider was to maintain "emotional synchronization," the alignment of game narrative and game mechanics to maintain an emotionally compelling experience. Hamel and the team knew they were building a "survival action" game on three pillars: "desperate combat, traversal and exploration, and a smart and resourceful Lara."
To accomplish the Herculean task of…

That´s all, thank you and have a good day! :)
Crystal Dynamics' Global Brand Director, Karl Stewart, recently did a question and answer session where he discusses various things about Lara Croft. Importantly enough, SuperBot had approached Crystal Dynamics about putting their character in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
LaraRocks2: Will Lara ever be featured in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale?
Karl Steward: With regards to the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale question. We love what the guys and girls over at Sony have achieved with ASBR, they even approached us about the possibility of including Lara. But to be honest to us it all boiled down to timing. We really set out to create a reboot where the first time you experienced playing as Lara Croft it was in our game on March…
Lara Croft is back, but things have changed. There were a lot of mixed reactions when Crystal Dynamics announced they would be rebooting the Tomb Raider series and making a far more "realistic" Lara than past iterations. Now the dust has settled, how does the new femme-fatale measure up? Does the latest Tomb Raider game meet expectations?
Check out what the critics think below and chime in with your own thoughts in the comments and poll below!
No middling reviews for DmC: Devil May Cry have been received yet.

Lara Croft is one of the most iconic female game characters in history. After her debut in the original Tomb Raider, her design caught many eyes of gamers. The game's popularity could partially be attributed to the strength of her character. Lara's strengths come from her intellect, fighting ability, and her sex appeal. Her likeness has molded throughout the course of the game's history, and even into major motion picture. Her personality has evolved along with her physical look. Whether you consider the newest iteration of Lara Croft to be the best representation, the original trilogy, or the movie, we can all agree that Lara Croft is one of the most memorable characters in gaming.
And that's where you come in! To celebrate the upcoming rel…
The much anticipated Tomb Raider, the reboot of sorts from Crystal Dynamics, is just a couple months away. While the new rendition of Lara Croft is set to re-establish her as an icon, this first entry into a new series looks to change a lot about Lara as a character. Knowing what we know about the game and the future of the series, I have a few things I would love to see in this upcoming game. Let me know what you want to see by leaving your thoughts in the comments below?
Set on an island off the coast of Japan, the environment of Tomb Raider is going to be as important to the story and any of the major plot points. The island is more than just a survival challenge for Lara. It has to represent both a major influence in her transformation …
Square Enix has just released a brand new batch of screenshots for Tomb Raider (2013). The game is a ways off, but it looks amazing so far. Check out the screenshots below!
Hello. I like to run around to random wikis and help them get in touch with their foreign versions. I've come here to ask for permission from an administrator to have this wiki linked to the unlinked foreign-language versions listed below.
Here's a very complete list of foreign-language Lara Croft wikis I've found:
- 1 The wikis
- 1.1 Unlinked
- 1.2 Ineligible
- 2 What should I do?
First, the wikis correctly linked to this wiki.
These wikis are not linked to this wiki.
These wikis are not eligible to be linked to this wiki- the only way you can do that is by unlinking an existing wiki. There's nothing to stop you from doing that, though, if you feel it is desirable. (I wouldn't.)
You have several wikis correctly interlanguage linked to this wiki- those …
Recently, the developers of Tomb Raider held an event in which they introduced the beginning of Lara Croft's new story. The following two stories show off some footage from the game. Tell us if these videos interest you more or less in this game.
Lara Croft is one of the most iconic characters of the video games industry, but now it seems that we will have to get to know her all over again, as the upcoming Tomb Raider instalment is actually a prequel. The ninth part of the long-standing Tomb Raider series is actually the "first" game in the series. It stars the 21 year old Lara Croft who still has to learn the many things that make her an athletic and beautiful archaeologist. The title of the game is, quite simply, "Tomb Raider".
Not long after Gamescom had opened, a huge queue had already formed. Surprisingly, even with Tomb Raider about 90% of the line consisted of men and boys, to my surprise, considering Lara Croft has a large female fanbase. After about an hour of waiting time …
Over the past couple of months we have been developing and testing a related videos module on some wikis like Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Halo. During these tests we have been tracking the number of video plays as well as collecting community feedback. We are now ready to expand the rollout to the rest of the site, and we are starting with wikis that there are the most videos for - which includes your wiki!
The videos we have are fully licensed from video partners we have developed relationships with. They include videos such as trailers, famous movie/TV clips, walkthroughs and behind the scenes interviews. We currently have video content from Screenplay and are working to create partnerships with other vendors, including Hulu, soon. …
